What's Different About Our Tour From Other Tours and Men's Clubs?

NATIONAL ORGANIZATION
We are part of the largest, fastest growing and BEST amateur golf tours in the country. Along with local event we host Regional Championships against players from other Tour cities and post season events, including a National Championship which was held at the Innisbrook Golf Resort in Tampa, FL in mid-October. Join today to play on a REAL golf tour, where you can test your skills in local events and Regional Championships while attempting to qualify for the Team Championship and individual National Amateur Championship Tournament.

NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP
Arizona Tour members can play in tournaments in over 60+ different cities across the country and earn points toward qualifying for post season events.  Go to the national web site to see a list of other tour cities.

SENIOR FLIGHTS
We have Senior divisions in all amateur flights to accommodate those members that are 50 and over that still want to compete.

SUBSTANTIAL PRIZE FUND
The prize fund for each flight in each event is substantial. The Arizona Tour awarded over $48,000 in gift certificates in 2007 all while paying 33% of the flight. Winnings are kept "on the books" and can be redeemed at any time and, unlike your men's club, can be spent virtually anywhere. Our members redeemed certificates to Costco, Home Depot and Lowe's just to name a few. The value of gift certificates awarded is obviously dependent upon the number of players in the flight. That's why we publish an "Estimated Flight Pay-out" for all events and unlike some other Tours, we pay 100% of our skins money back to the players.

LOWER MEMBERSHIP FEE

Our annual membership fee is lower than other tours and some men's clubs while offering over $350 worth of goods and services in value.

OUR TOURNAMENT FEES ARE A BETTER VALUE

When you consider the tournament day, the course being played and the tour experience, you'll see the difference!

PACE OF PLAY IS PARAMOUNT
We provide a full staff on hand at each event, including a rules official and referee. We monitor pace of play and incorporate measures to promote timely rounds. We DO NOT allow 6 hour rounds. The specifics of the tour's pace of play policy can be found by clicking
here.

NO EXTRA TOURNAMENT CHARGES
We do not add extra charges onto our tournament fees to pay for food, drinks, etc. We are a competitive tour that provides tournaments administered along the same lines as a professional tournament.

HANDICAP INDEXES REQUIRED
All members must have a current and verifiable USGA Handicap Index. All Indexes are monitored closely.  Sandbagging will NOT be tolerated. Then again, sandbaggers don't usually compete in events where there is not any NET scoring. Our events are played at SCRATCH within a flight. If you don't have an Index we can help you establish one for FREE!

NO SHOTGUN STARTS
We believe that shotguns provide an unfair advantage for players teeing off on easier holes. Shotgun starts are necessary for charity events and corporate outings, not competitive ones.

As you can see, the Golf Channel Amateur Tour of Phoenix offers many benefits over our competitors. We look forward to seeing you out on tour in 2008.  Use this
